The little Prince 

French story 

My retell:

The little prince lives on a planet where he works every day to maintain the planet beautiful. The prince has a rose on his planet that he must protect and take care of every day.  He wonders what is beyond his planet and wishes to travel to see what else is out there. So he decided to leave one day and comes across different planets with different people who live there. Along his journey he meets a fox that teaches him different life values.  Although the little prince wanted to see what else is out there he realizes that he misses his rose. He dreams to get back to his planet to see his rose and keeps wondering if the rose is okay. He learns that he didn't need to travel because what he loves the most was on his planet. 

Significance:

The story has different meanings that can be see in the story. One of them is about the trees that keep destroying the little prince's planet. He must work every day to make sure the trees don't take over the planet. This shows us how each person needs to work hard to fix all the small details in their lives that might not be working.  If you leave a problem alone it won't ever get better and it will just end up growing worst. The little prince learns that he needs to keep working every day to keep the trees away.

The little prince was first a story written in french but has been adapted into English and different languages. It has also been created into opera and musical performances as well as different plays. The book has also been made into a movie that can be found on Netflix.
